Getting to Know Dementia: A Course for Family Members and Caregivers

Learn more about normal aging, brain changes, and dementia; which abilities change, and which are preserved; how to effectively interact and communicate with someone who is living with dementia; how to reduce difficult situations while providing care; and more! Attendees will learn and practice skills for approaching and engaging with someone who is living with dementia. Method of instruction varies by content – presentation, interactive, experiential, and skills practice. Course led by Heather Tierney of Senior Moments Consulting, LLC.
